For the first time in the history of the Indian Navy, a couple are serving as Chief Medical Officers of the Southern and Eastern Naval Commands.

Without precedent for the historical backdrop of the Indian Naval force, a couple are filling in as Chief Medical Officers of the Southern and Eastern Maritime Orders. While Arti Sarin expected charge as the Order Clinical Official, Kochi-based Southern Maritime Order, on advancement to the position of Specialist Back Naval commander, her better half Specialist Back Chief of naval operations CS Naidu is by and by the Order Clinical Official, Eastern Maritime Order at Visakhapatnam.

She has been in Kochi since February 20 and has been leading the Southern Maritime Order, Kochi's' battle against COVID-19 pandemic by directing the planning and creating imaginative arrangements and setting up isolate offices in the Southern Maritime Order.
