9 September Bhubaneswar: Four Maoists were killed in a gunfight with the security powers in Odisha's Kalahandi region on Wednesday, a senior official said. The trading of fire, wherein a jawan of the Odisha Police's Special Operations Group (SOG) was likewise harmed, occurred in the Bhandarangi Sirki woods zone on the Kalahandi-Kandhamal outskirt, he said.

Following up on an insight input, the SOG alongside the District Voluntary Force (DVF) dispatched the procedure on Tuesday, he said.

The trading of fire occurred around 11 am on Wednesday, the official said. The gunfight went on for about 30 minutes, he stated, including that more groups of SOG, DVF and CRPF have been hurried to the territory for brushing and search activity.
